A Will is a document you sign which states who you want to inherit your assets or look after young children after you pass away. You might need a new or updated Will if you are:

  • Starting a new relationship
  • Having children
  • Ending a relationship
  • Cautious that someone might challenge your Will after you pass away
  • A senior age
  • In declining health
  • Not sure where you’ve placed your previous Will

A Power of Attorney is a document which allows you to appoint someone else to do particular important tasks on your behalf. You can assign:

  • Financial tasks such as speaking with banks, dealing with Centrelink, buying or selling real estate,
  • Medical tasks relating to decisions about your medical treatment.
  • Living arrangement decisions, such as retirement villages and nursing homes.
